ATLANTA – A Winston great-grandmother of 20 has room to grow with a $293,200 prize. Shirley Swafford, 67, is one of two players each to win a jackpot prize from matching all five winning numbers in the Oct. 7 Fantasy 5 drawing.

"I watched the drawing," she said, recalling the night she won. "I couldn't sleep all night. I was all excited, I couldn't believe it."

Swafford bought her winning Quik Pik ticket at Country Corner, 3109 Bright Star Road in Douglasville. The second winning jackpot ticket was sold in Bowdon Junction. Winning numbers for the Oct. 7 Fantasy 5 drawing were: 8-12-16-30-39.

The great-grandmother of 20 has 20 grandchildren and six adult children with her husband, James.

Pleased with her lottery win, Swafford has plans to pay off bills.

"I would like to do something nice for myself," she said. "I don't know exactly what yet, but I'm going to do something."

Georgia Lottery retailers selling winning jackpot Fantasy 5 tickets receive a retailer incentive bonus of $2,000. The retailer incentive bonus increases by $2,000 each time Fantasy 5 rolls. If more than one winning jackpot ticket is sold, the retailers selling the jackpot winning tickets will share the bonus. Country Corner will receive a $3,000 retailer incentive bonus.

Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corporation has returned more than $11.2 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs including Georgia's HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia's Pre-K Program. More than 1.2 million students have received HOPE, and more than 940,000 4-year-olds have attended the statewide, voluntary prekindergarten program.
