ATLANTA – A Lookout Mountain man is eating up a lottery win. Sherman Gray, a cook at a local deli on the mountain, is one of three players each to win $128,483 from matching all five winning numbers in the Aug. 16 Fantasy 5 drawing.
"I checked my ticket after watching television," Gray said of his discovery the following morning. "I started shouting."
Winning numbers from the Aug. 16 Fantasy 5 drawing were: 3-15-20-30-33. He purchased the Quik Pik ticket from Favorite Market #3663, 1226 Lula Lake Road, Lookout Mountain. The other winning jackpot tickets were purchased in Calhoun and Savannah.
"I'd always hoped to win," said Gray, 46.
The grandfather of two said he plans to pay bills and help his daughter with his jackpot prize.
Georgia Lottery retailers selling winning jackpot Fantasy 5 tickets receive a retailer incentive bonus of $2,000. The retailer incentive bonus increases by $2,000 each time Fantasy 5 rolls. If more than one winning jackpot ticket is sold, the retailers selling the jackpot winning tickets will share the bonus. Favorite Market will share an $8,000 retailer incentive bonus.
