ATLANTA – A retired teacher from Columbus has made the grade following a Fantasy 5 win. Patricia Dennis, 64, is one of two players each to win $65,578 from the Aug. 6 Fantasy 5 drawing.
Dennis, who taught high school science for 20 years, said that winning the lottery is "amazing."
"It truly is a 'pay it forward' moment," she said.
Winning numbers from the Aug. 6 Fantasy 5 drawing were: 1-3-6-30-34. The second winning jackpot ticket was purchased in Atlanta. Dennis purchased her Quik Pik ticket at Circle K Stores #6692, 3841 Miller Road in Columbus, and checked her results on the Georgia Lottery’s Web site.
With her streak of luck, the grandmother of four plans to help others and save the remainder of her winnings. She has three adult sons.
"I believe in doing what you can for other people," she shared. "That's just the human thing to do."
Georgia Lottery retailers selling winning jackpot Fantasy 5 tickets receive a retailer incentive bonus of $2,000. The retailer incentive bonus increases by $2,000 each time Fantasy 5 rolls. If more than one winning jackpot ticket is sold, the retailers selling the jackpot winning tickets will share the bonus. Circle K Stores will share a $4,000 retailer incentive bonus.
